RFI answers now accept files

You can now answer a Request for Information (RFI) with files through the API. Before, an RFI with a file question returned a 422, and the Customer had to answer on the rfi_link page.

  • Works for onboarding RFIs (POST /api/v1/customers/{customer_uuid}/rfi/answer) and compliance transfer RFIs (POST /api/v2/transfers/{transfer_uuid}/rfi/answer). Payment network transfer RFIs keep one file for each question.
  • Send a multipart/form-data request. Use answers[key] for text answers and files[key][] for each file. A question can take several files.
  • Each file question has its own limit in the GET response: how many files, the size range in KB and the allowed file types.
  • Each file can be up to 20 MB. Allowed types are .pdf, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .doc and .docx. A file that is not a PDF must be at least 100 KB.
  • Validation errors now return 422 with code 2005. If your code branches on the error code, update it.
